Belarus has called for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA) to come up with an effective mechanism to implement the Minsk accords. The idea was discussed during the OSCE PA’s winter session. A delegation of the Belarus parliament took part in the session, the press service of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus reports.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Vladimir Senko, Chairman of the International Affairs and National Security Committee, deputy head of the Belarus parliament’s delegation in the OSCE PA. The MP took part in special debates held to discuss the OSCE’s response to the crisis in Ukraine and around the country. Vladimir Senko spoke in positive terms about the OSCE’s efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine. He noted that Belarus’ contribution is not limited to the provision of the venue for negotiations.
The Belarusian MPs also took part in a session of the OSCE PA Standing Committee and three general committees of the Assembly.
