Russia to supply 12 Mi-17 helicopters to Belarus

         Russia and Belarus signed a contract for the delivery of 12 Mi-17 helicopters during the international defense technology expo IDEX 2015 in the United Arab Emirates. The information was released by Sergei Chemezov, head of the Russian state corporation Rostec. The executive specified that the contract was signed by the holding company Russian Helicopters, which is part of Rostec. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
       Companies representing Belarus’ defense industry take part in the International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2015 in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of President of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the State Militaery Industries Committee of Belarus reports. The expo showcases the most advanced solutions in the defense industry. Over 1,000 companies from 52 countries take part. The official delegation of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus is led by Chairman of the Committee Sergei Gurulev.
