Myasnikovich: Belarus, Russia pursue coherent policy in international arena

        Belarus and Russia pursue a coherent policy in the international arena, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow. He also stressed the importance of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). "We signed the documents.
      Now we need to implement them," he said. Mikhail Myasnikovich noted that with the EEU in force Belarus expects the new level of integration.
      For his part, Sergei Lavrov thanked Mikhail Myasnikovich for what he had done for Belarus and the Union State as Prime Minister and expressed the confidence that Mikhail Myasnikovich’s great experience will be useful at the post of the Chairman of the Council of the Republic.
The meeting took place during the official visit of the parliamentary delegation of Belarus to Russia.
