FC BATE Borisov looses their second match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk

At the start of the second round of the UEFA’s Champions League FC BATE Borisov lost their second match against FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Following a 0-7 rout from the Donetsk team in Borisov two weeks ago, the Belarusians fell 0-5 in Lvov. 

Darijo Srna, Alex Teixeira and Luiz Adriano (a hat-trick) took Shakhtar to within a point of the last 16.

To pip Shakhtar to second, BATE must beat FC Porto and Athletic Club and hope both defeat Mircea Lucescu's men.

Elsewhere in Group H Athletic Spain hosted FC Porto in Bilbao. The hosts lost 0-2.

Group H standings are as follows: FC Porto – 10 points, FC Shakhtar Donetsk – 8, FC BATE Borisov – 3, Athletic – 1.
