Belenergo, Russian turbine factory to advance cooperation

         Top executives of the Belarusian state power grid operator Belenergo and Ural Turbine Works signed a memorandum of cooperation, BelTA quotes Belarusian First Deputy Energy Minister Leonid Shenets. The document will contribute to the development of long-term cooperation in the designing and manufacturing of steam-powered heating and condensation turbines, specified the official. Apart from that, plans have been made to bolster cooperation in the sphere of services for the reconstruction and modernization of equipment, supplies of spare parts, startup and commissioning, aftersales service, installation of equipment at Belenergo enterprises. Leonid Shenets remarked that the complex of measures that had been developed together will allow increasing the reliability and safety of energy delivery to Belenergo’s consumers. It will improve equipment performance thanks to innovative measures.
        The commissioning of new facilities and the reconstruction of existing ones through reliance on the technical potential and expertise of the Russian company will secure the maximum effectiveness of the measures partially thanks to the reduced cost of consequent repairs and service, concluded the Belarusian First Deputy Energy Minister.
