Radio Belarus expands Chinese service;

      The Foreign Service of the Belarusian Radio (Radio Belarus) is set to expand the Chinese service starting from October.
       For over a year Radio Belarus has been broadcasting programs in Chinese as part of the project Your Friend Belarus. The project aims to inform the audience about the relations between Belarus and China, cooperation in economy and other fields. Since October the programs of this social and political project will be available two times a week.
        “The major goal of the foreign service is to promote a positive image of Belarus in the international media space. This is particularly relevant when it comes to the Chinese-speaking audience. Belarus and China are actively expanding cooperation in many fields and this is reflected in the programs of the radio. The increasing interest of the Chinese audience in projects from Belarus prompts Radio Belarus to expand the range of topics discussed in Chinese, like politics, economy, culture and sport. Radio Belarus tells the audience about the bilateral cooperation, the life of Chinese specialists and students in our country,” Director of Radio Belarus Naum Galperovich said.
     The team working on the program Your Friend Belarus has been expanded. It includes Chinese citizens – professional journalists and translators, graduates and teachers of the Institute of Journalism of the Belarusian State University.
      Programs of Radio Belarus are available in eight languages, namely Belarusian, Russian, English, German, Polish, French, Spanish and Chinese.
