      The second art festival of the Belarusian of the world has brought together around 250 representatives from 18 countries. The youngest participant is just 7, and she arrived in her mother’s homeland from Mexico, we were told by Natalya Zaderkovskaya, head of the department for culture institutions and folk art at he Belarusian Culture Ministry:

     “The goal of the festival is to promote the achievements of the Belarusians living abroad and at the same time to demonstrate the socio-cultural and tourism potential of the country. The participants of the festival will see the most noteworthy things and objects related to the Belarusian culture. They will be offered a sightseeing tour, a visit to the Museum of the Great Patriotic War and a stroll around the historic places of Minsk. A number of meetings is on the agenda as well, including an event at the Yakub Kolas Museum where members of the Belarusian Writers’ Union will meet their colleagues from abroad. The National Historic Museum will host art and photo exhibitions.”
