BPC becomes Brazil’s major potash supplier, with market share at 30%

       The Belarusian Potash Company has become a leading supplier of potassium to Brazil, taking up about 30% of the Brazilian market, according to the data of the IFA (International Fertilizer Industry Association), BelTA quotes the BPC press service. In addition, shipments to China have reached the historical maximum, with the share of the Belarusian producer exceeding 20% in the Chinese market in H1 2014.
        All in all, in H1 2014 BPC exported nearly 5 million tonnes of MOP, up 1.5 times from the same period of 2013. Belaruskali’s output of marketable products in the monetary equivalent rose by 64%, sales revenues went up by 18%. To compare: Uralkali’s revenues in H1 2014 according to the RAS (Russian accounting standards) rose by merely 10%.
