No official reports about Belarusian citizens arrested on terrorism charges in Ukraine

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has received no official report from the Ukrainian side regarding the detention of Belarusian citizens. The statement was made by Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, in Minsk.

“The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has received no official report from the Ukrainian side regarding the detention of Belarusian citizens on charges of terrorism, preparation of protest actions and other illegal actions.

According to mass media reports two citizens of Belarus had been detained in Odessa. Our foreign missions responded to the reports promptly. They have been maintaining tight cooperation with Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.
According to the available data one of the mentioned citizens is in Belarus as of 1 July while the other one is in Russia as of 5 July,” said Dmitry Mironchik.
