Belarus deeply concerned about attack on Russian Embassy in Kyiv

Belarus is deeply concerned about the attack on the Russian Embassy in Kyiv, reads a statement of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations established that the host country of an embassy or consulate “is under a special duty to take all appropriate steps to protect the premises of the mission against abusive or insulting behavior toward the mission,” says the statement. 

“We hope that the Ukrainian side will take comprehensive measures to prevent further provocations against diplomatic missions, their personnel and property, will ensure their safety and security,” reads the statement of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
