Russian Railways intends to purchase municipal and special-purpose equipment from Belarus

       Russian Railways confirms its interest in purchasing municipal and special-purpose equipment from Belarus, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA following a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the  Russian Federation Igor Petrishenko and  President of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin. The latter confirmed the interest of the Russian side in the procurement of Belarus-made municipal vehicles and special-purpose equipment. The Belarusian Ambassador to Russia suggested the embassy host a presentation of export capabilities of the Belarusian industry for Russian Railways with participation of Russian dealers of the Belarusian major enterprises such as MAZ, Amkodor and others,” the press service noted.
       During the meeting, the parties also discussed the ways of expanding the supplies of building materials from Belarus for the needs of Russian Railways, increasing exports of services by railway construction organizations.
