Belarusian sports exhibition for IIHF WC guests


        An exhibition timed to the 2014 ice hockey world championship will be arranged in the house museum of the first congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party (aka RSDRP), representatives of the National History Museum of Belarus told BelTA.
        The exhibition is a joint project to be arranged by the museum and private collectors in Belarus. Visitors will be able to get familiar with the items relevant for the period when sport industry in sovereign Belarus developed.
         A representative of the museum said the exhibition will be separated into three sections. The first one will be dedicated to fans and will feature rare photos and merchandise of sport fans.
The second section will be dedicated to the 1990s that were the starting point in the history of Belarusian sports. This exposition will be focused on competition timetables, uniforms of clubs and national sport teams.
The third section will feature exhibits that symbolize the greatest accomplishments of the Belarusian sport and physical training society Dinamo. Museum visitors will be able to look at historical photos, merchandise of the club, and a ball with autographs of the sportsmen, who won the 1982 USSR football championship. That success of the Minsk-based FC Dinamo determined the further evolution of the fan movement in Belarus while the Dinamo stadium has become a kind of a national sport and culture brand.
