“We have what you are interested in, what you need, and we are ready to offer you that, be it joint ventures to manufacture vehicles, or cooperation in the defense industry or mining. In fact, we have already made some progress. A joint venture to produce tractors has opened in 2014. Now Belarusian tractors account for nearly half of all tractors used in Cambodia.
We are ready to purchase products that are popular in Belarus, but cannot be grown in our climate. We will buy these products with great pleasure to balance out the bilateral trade.
There are many areas of common interest between Belarus and Cambodia, and we are open to any of your suggestions at any time.”
The Cambodian Premier expressed hope that his visit will make a contribution to the expansion of the bilateral contacts. There are plans to sign nine agreements and one joint communique. Hun Sen said that when he visited Belarus for the first time in 1981, he saw that Belarus was developing rapidly. He also told Alexander Lukashenko that the King of Cambodia invites him to pay an official visit to the country.
