Minsk to host numerous music events during IIHF WC

        Music and entertainment events will be held every day at the hospitality zones in Minsk during the IIHF ice hockey world championship, first deputy head of the department for ideology, culture and youth affairs of the Minsk City Hall Vitalina Rudikova told media, BelTA reports. In her words, Minsk will offer a very diverse cultural program during the championship. Popular cover groups, music bands and DJs will perform in the hospitality zones. Minskers and foreigners will certainly appreciate a number of other exciting events, like the culture project Museum Night, the art project Artist and the City and the music project Jazz Saturdays, theater project Street Theater in Minsk, the nationwide festival and fair Spring Bouquet and the Belarusian International Festival of Puppet Theaters. The music and tourist season will open in the Upper Town in Minsk on 3 May. An exhibition of modern art of Belarus will take place in Minsk during the world championship. The national exhibition center BelExpo will present works of fledgling Belarusian artists (painting, sculpture, artwork, video art, photography). Minsk museums have prepared special cultural programs in the run-up to the championship. The museums will stay open till midnight.
