Do gospodarki Białorusi w ciągu ostatnich pięciu lat zostały przyciągnięte ponad 100 mln dolarów bezpośrednich fińskich inwestycji. O tym powiedział dyrektor Mińskiego Oddziału Białoruskiej Izby Handlowo-Przemysłowej Alaksandr Fiedarczuk podczas spotkania z delegacją kręgów biznesowych Finlandii, powiadomiła agencja informacyjna BELTA. „W ciągu pięciu lat do gospodarki Białorusi zostały przyciągnięte ponad 100 mln dolarów inwestycji przedsiębiorstw Finlandii, a w 2013 roku – 24 mln. Ważne, że obecnie 25 spółek tego kraju uwierzyły w możliwości wspólnego biznesu i założyły na terenie Białorusi wspólne przedsiębiorstwa. Jednak tego nie wystarcza, należy i nadal rozwijać naszą współpracę”, - podkreślił Alaksandr Fiedarczuk. Dyrektor Mińskiego Oddziału Białoruskiej Izby Handlowo-Przemysłowej odznaczył intensywny charakter współdziałania pomiędzy Białorusią a Finlandią. Liczba obrotu towarowego w 2013 roku wyniosła 256 mln dolarów, przy tym import i eksport były niemal równe u obu stron. Kierownik centrum innowacyjnego regionu Kouvola Simo Päivinen w swoją kolej odznaczył, że grupa biznesmenów z Południowo-Wschodniej Finlandii jest na Białorusi po raz pierwszy. „Ta wizyta biznesowa jest bardzo ważna dla nas i wywołuje poważne zainteresowanie, więc czekamy na rezultaty i spodziewamy się, że będziemy rozwijali konstruktywny dialog, żeby pogłębić naszą współpracę. Również jestem na Białorusi po raz pierwszy i chcę odznaczyć, że Mińsk to czyste i wygodne miasto, jest to dobry przykład, znak dla biznesu, ponieważ pierwsze wrażenie jest bardzo ważne, mamy pozytywne i dobre wrażenie”, - powiedział Simo Päivinen. W strukturze eksportu Białorusi do Finlandii przeważają produkty przetwarzania ropy naftowej, drut, futro, wyroby z metali czarnych, ubrania, wyposażenie i środki transportowe. Z Finlandii są importowane papier i karton, ładowarki, celuloza, sprzęt rolniczy oraz inne. W Finlandii działają Fińsko-Białoruska Izba Handlowa i Fińsko-Białoruska Asocjacja Handlowa.
