Stosunki między Białorusią i Uzbekistanem rozwijają się dość aktywnie. O tym premier Białorusi Alaksandr Turczyn powiedział na spotkaniu z szefem rządu Uzbekistanu Abdullą Oripovem. Jak podkreślił Alaksandr Turczyn, istnieje poważne zainteresowanie biznesu obu krajów realizacją rozmaitych projektów. „Poziom naszej współpracy i wzrost wzajemnego handlu w bieżącym roku pokazują, że stosunki między naszymi krajami rozwijają się, być może pojawiła się potrzeba podpisania dokumentów o partnerstwie strategicznym między Uzbekistanem a Białorusią. Nasz biznes aktywnie inwestuje w Uzbekistan”, - stwierdził szef białoruskiego rządu. Premier dodał, że spółki Białorusi są gotowe do współpracy z Uzbekistanem, więc warto pomóc biznesowi w aktywizacji właśnie takich form współdziałania. Premier Uzbekistanu w swoją kolej również potwierdził zainteresowanie aktywizacją współpracy między krajami. „Bardzo się cieszę z możliwości spotkać się i omówić możliwe nowe kierunki, rozpatrzeć perspektywy rozwoju naszego dwustronnego współdziałania”, - powiedział Abdulla Oripov. Według niego wskaźnikiem dynamiki białorusko-uzbeckiej współpracy jest handel. „Zgodnie z wynikami ubiegłego roku wzrósł o 9%, zgodnie z wynikami pierwszej połowy bieżącego roku – o 28%. To pokazuje najważniejsze – olbrzymie pragnienie uzbeckich i białoruskich przedstawicieli bzinesu, którzy chcą współpracowaci rozwijać stosunki”, - dodał szef rządu Uzbekistanu.
