Białoruś i obwód Brański Federacji Rosyjskiej podpisały w Mińsku program współpracy na lata 2014-2016. Dokument o rozwoju współdziałania został podpisany przez szefa białoruskiego rządu Michaiła Miasnikowicza i gubernatorea tego rosyjskiego regionu Nikołaja Dienina. Jak odznaczono, białoruski rząd pozytywnie ocenia współpracy z obwodem Brańskim, która obecnie jest na ósmym miejcu co do liczby obwotu towarowego z Białorusią spośród wszystkich regionów Federacji Rosyjskiej. Od 2005 roku obrót towarowy wzrósł pięciokrotnie i w 2012 roku wyniósł niemal 900 mln dolarów. W przyszłym roku planuje się, że liczba handlu wzajemnego osiągnie 1 mlrd dolarów. Według Michaiła Miasnikowicza i Nikołaja Dienina jest to całkiem realne zadanie. „Chcę odznaczyć, że nasza współpraca rozwija się systemowo”, - podkreślił premier-minister Białorusi. Według niego, jest to podstawą powodzenia w rozwoju stosunków. Jeśli chodzi o perspektywne kierunki współpracy, to według strony białoruskiej są to rolnictwo, a także inne sfery, które na razie nie były zapotrzebonawe. Gospodarki Białorusi i obwodu Brańskiego dopełniają siebie nawzajem, odznaczył Michaił Miasnikowicz. Gubernator obwodu Brańskiego Nikołaj Dienin także odznaczył ważność dla regionu rozwoju współdziałania z Białorusią. Jeśli chodzi o podpisanie programu, to jego realizacja, jak uważa Nikołaj Dienin, będzie sprzyjała zwiększeniu obrotu towarowego pomiędzy Białorusią a obwodem Brańskim. W 2012 roku obrót towarowy pomiędzy Białorusią a tym regionem Rosji w porównaniu z 2011 zwiększył się o 41% i wyniósł ponad 870 mln dolarów. W styczniu-wrześniu roku bieżącego obrót towarowy osiągnął niemal 680 mln dolarów. Podstawą eksportu do obwodu Brańskiego w 2012 roku były maszyny i mechaniczmy rolnicze, mleko, śmietanka skondensowana, materiały budowlane, technika drogowa i budowlana.
