Tschupris: Die UN-Konvention zur Verhütung und Bestrafung des Völkermordes ist auch heute noch relevant

Die Bestimmungen der UN-Konvention über die Verhütung und Bestrafung des Völkermordes sind auch heute noch relevant. Das sagte die stellvertretende Leiterin der Präsidialverwaltung, Doktorin der Rechtswissenschaften Olga Tschupris, am 12. Dezember auf der 2. Internationalen wissenschaftlich-praktischen Konferenz, die dem 76. Jahrestag der Verabschiedung der Konvention gewidmet war. 
 
„Die Verabschiedung eines der wichtigsten Dokumente im Bereich des internationalen Rechts - der Konvention der Vereinten Nationen über die Verhütung und Bestrafung des Völkermordes - ist zu einem Meilenstein geworden, dem wichtigsten Ereignis für die gesamte Weltgemeinschaft“, sagte Olga Tschupris.
 
„Die rechtliche Verankerung des Begriffs Völkermord in der Konvention als außergewöhnlich schweres Verbrechen gegen den Frieden und die Sicherheit der Menschheit, das nicht verjährt, war für Belarus, das den Schrecken der Ausrottung von Millionen seines Volkes erlebt hat, von großer Bedeutung“, sagte sie. 
 
Die stellvertretende Leiterin der Präsidialverwaltung ist sicher, dass die Bestimmungen der Konvention nach wie vor aktuell sind und leider auch in der heutigen Zeit, in der ultranationalistische Ideen in einigen Ländern wieder aufleben, angewendet werden müssen.      
 
Olga Tschupris stellte fest, dass immer häufiger versucht wird, die Rolle von Belarus und anderen ehemaligen Sowjetrepubliken bei der Niederschlagung des Nationalsozialismus zu verfälschen. Die Bekämpfung dieser negativen Tendenzen steht im Mittelpunkt der Aufmerksamkeit von Belarus und insbesondere des Staatsoberhauptes.
 
„Der Präsident hat wiederholt betont, dass es keine edlere Aufgabe gibt als die Bewahrung des historischen Gedächtnisses im Interesse einer strahlenden Zukunft. Diese Worte klingen in der Seele eines jeden belarussischen Bürgers nach. Und die Normen zur Bewahrung des historischen Gedächtnisses und der Wahrheit über die Heldentaten des belarussischen Volkes während des Großen Vaterländischen Krieges sind auf der Ebene unseres Grundgesetzes - der Verfassung - verankert“, sagte Olga Tschupris.
 
Die verfassungsrechtlichen Bestimmungen werden in sektoralen Gesetzen weiterentwickelt, und erst in den letzten Jahren wurde eine Reihe von Dokumenten verabschiedet, um die historische Gerechtigkeit zu wahren. Darunter sind die Gesetze zur Verhinderung der Rehabilitierung des Nationalsozialismus und zur Bekämpfung des Extremismus, und das Gesetz „Über den Völkermord am belarussischen Volk“ sticht als rote Linie hervor.
 
Die stellvertretende Leiterin der Präsidialverwaltung betonte die Kohärenz und Konsistenz der aufgeführten Gesetze und fügte hinzu, das Wichtigste sei, dass es sich nicht um eine leere Erklärung handele.
 
„Wir schützen das Land mit allen rechtlichen Mitteln vor faschistischem Unheil. Insbesondere die Leugnung des Völkermordes am belarussischen Volk und die Rehabilitierung des Nationalsozialismus sind strafbar“, sagte Olga Tschupris.

21st June was fifth International Yoga Day observed across the world. The theme for Yoga Day 2019 was "Yoga for Climate Action”. On this day, which is dedicated to inner and outer well-being of human body, people across the world practice yoga in groups. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice.
