Der Präsident von Belarus Alexander Lukaschenko hat gefordert, den Handelsumsatz mit dem russischen Gebiet Irkutsk um das zwei- bis dreifache zu steigern. Das erklärte der Botschafter der Republik Belarus in Russland Dmitri Krutoi.
„Unsere Zusammenarbeit mit dem Gebiet Irkutsk hat sich in den letzten zwei Jahren sehr intensiv entwickelt. Was unsere Exporte in die Region betrifft, so haben wir das Niveau erreicht, das wir vor COVID-19 hatten. Dennoch haben wir den Umsatz zu steigern, und zwar um das zwei- bis dreifache“, so der Botschafter.
Ursprünglich war das grundlegende Projekt zur Entwicklung des Handels nicht nur mit dem Gebiet Irkutsk, sondern auch mit China die Schaffung eines logistischen Großhandels- und Vertriebszentrums für belarussische Waren in der Region. Zurzeit werden die Pläne jedoch angepasst. „Eine Arbeitsgruppe, die sich mit diesem Projekt befasst, ist zu dem Schluss gekommen, dass die Wirtschaftlichkeit noch nicht gegeben ist. Es gibt sehr hohe Kosten für mehrere logistische Umladungen unserer Waren. Daher ist die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit noch gering“, sagte Dmitri Krutoi.
Nichtsdestotrotz wurde beschlossen, das Projekt nicht aufzugeben, sondern es als Pilotprojekt durchzuführen. Der Leiter des regionalen Exekutivkomitees Brest ist für die Entwicklung der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Gebiet Irkutsk zuständig, und der Präsident beauftragte ihn, die Möglichkeit zu prüfen, das „Brester Hub“ in der russischen region zu schaffen. Diese Erfahrung soll im Moment nicht auf das ganze Land übertragen werden. „Wir wollen am Beispiel der Region Brest schauen , wie das funktioniert. Das Brester Fleischverarbeitungswerk, Santa Bremor und andere Produzenten der Region Brest liefern ihre Produkte in diese russische Region. Und mit Erfolg. Und ich denke, dass dieser kleine Schritt nach China keine logistischen Probleme für die Bürger von Brest mit sich bringen wird“, sagte der Botschafter. „Deshalb werden wir die Arbeit im Pilotmodus am Beispiel von Brest ausprobieren, auf jeden Fall werden wir dieses Projekt nicht aufgeben und seine Umsetzung fortsetzen.“
Belarussische Industrieuntermehmen haben im Vorjahrt einen Handelsumsatz mit der Region Irkutsk in Höhe von $16,3 Mio. erreicht. Für Lebensmittel und landwirtschaftliche Rohstoffe betrug der Handelsumsatz in diesem Jahr $3,2 Mio.
