The 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum will be held in Moscow on 24-25 May. “The forum is the first major event in a series of Eurasian events, which will take place in May-June. The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is scheduled for 25 May. In early June, Sochi will host the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council events, as well as the Eurasian Congress, which is organized by the Eurasian Development Bank, and the large-scale exhibition Eurasia-Our Home,” Andrey Slepnev said.

As for the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum, according to the EEC minister, in addition to representatives of the Eurasian Five, the forum will feature a significant number of guests from third countries, including non-CIS countries. A plenary session featuring the EAEU heads of state will be the central event of the forum. The program of the forum will include issues of scientific and technical cooperation of the countries to develop joint approaches in the areas of industry, ecology and energy, as well as technical and customs regulation, organization of the internal market of the states. Another important task of the forum is to set up a platform for establishing contacts between business and state structures.

All in all, the forum will include almost 35 business sessions which will be divided into seven thematic tracks. Within the Human Capital track, experts will discuss the prospects of unlocking the tourism potential of the EAEU countries, working with young talents, labor migration issues, inter-university scientific and technical cooperation and experience in counteracting the coronavirus pandemic.

The Technology and Cooperation block will focus on technological sovereignty as a guarantee of energy and food security, environmental regulation, organization of the food market, and development of entrepreneurship in the new environment. Apart from that, experts will discuss aspects of the unified system of technical regulation of the EAEU and the removal of barriers to trade, as well as standardization as a tool for ensuring the safety and quality of products.

The participants of the sessions with the EAEU in a Changing World track will consider key areas of cooperation between the EAEU, SCO and BRICS, currency and financial cooperation and transition to new forms of settlements in mutual trade. Business dialogues will be held to boost cooperation of the Eurasian integration format with Indonesia and Latin American countries.

The sessions of the Eurasian Alignment block will cover key issues of the digital agenda: state regulation of the IT industry, personal data turnover in the EAEU space and import independence of the integration union member states in the software and telecommunications equipment markets. Discussions within this track will also focus on international settlements and digital assets, electronic trade, the creation of the Eurasian Reinsurance Company and new data sources in the EAEU statistics.

Participants of the EAEU Internal Market: Customs Cooperation, Competition and Public Procurement track will discuss the improvement of the Union's law in the context of modern challenges and customs regulations, digital systems of detecting collusion in tenders and public procurement digitalization.

The Strategic Block will become a platform to discuss the EAEU 2030+ strategy. Its participants will answer the questions of what should be the key goal of the EAEU development until 2045, what specific steps should be implemented to ensure the achievement of the development goals of the integration association, and what are the new areas for the EAEU strategic development.

The program of the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum will also include the international climate contest Green Eurasia, a business breakfast of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to discuss new opportunities for international cooperation in Eurasia, and a business breakfast of the EAEU-Indonesia business dialogue. In addition, the EAEU Business Council is scheduled to host two events: a session on entrepreneurship as a driver of Eurasian economic integration, and a meeting of the Presidium of the Business Council of the Eurasian Economic Union.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English. We hear nothing about Belarus here in the US so I am so glad to learn about your country. Keep on broadcasting in English. I also joined the Hoererklub on Facebook as I can understand German. If you have information or a station pennant, I will very much appreciate it.
