Welsh business interested in joint projects with Belarus

      The business community of Wales would like to cooperate with Belarusian partners and implement joint investment projects.
     The statement was made at a roundtable session where Belarus’ trade and investment opportunities were presented. The session was attended by the Welsh business community and was arranged with assistance of Honorary Consul of Belarus in Wales Michael Rye. Ways to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Wales were discussed during a working visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sergei Aleinik. While in Wales Sergei Aleinik met with First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones, Deputy Presiding Officer of the National Assembly of Wales David Melding, Deputy Lord Mayor of Cardiff Margaret Jones, and Head of the Office of the European Commission in Wales David Hughes. The parties discussed efforts to ramp up cooperation in trade, economy, investments, education and culture.
