Ambitious tasks ahead of Belarusian agriculture in 2014

         The main performance targets set for the Belarusian agribusiness for 2014 will be hit. The statement was made by Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats at the session of the Ministry’s board. According to the Minister, the agriculture has rather ambitious tasks to accomplish in 2014. In particular, it is necessary to raise the export of agricultural products by at least 12.8%, with the foreign trade balance up by 10.1%. “All in all, Belarusian farmers should commendably finish this year, create the foundation for the economic development of the agriculture both in 2014 and in future,” said Leonid Zayats. “On behalf of Belarusian agrarians I guarantee that these key targets and tasks will be accomplished. I believe I am not mistaken because I know the potential of our workforce. Besides, taking into account the foundation we have now and the practical aid that the state will provide this year, I think we can produce these results”.
