Lukashenko: Independence Day is full of love for the Motherland, pride in its history and achievements

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated compatriots on Independence Day, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The head of state noted that this holiday is filled with sincere love for the Motherland, pride in its history and achievements.

“The day of liberation of the Belarusian capital city from the Nazi invaders – 3 July 1944 – has become a symbol of courage, freedom, and patriotism for our nation,” the congratulatory message reads.

The president pointed out that on Independence Day the sovereign country remembers with gratitude everyone whose military and labor feats protected the right and the ability of Belarusians to live and raise children in their native land and to look into tomorrow with confidence.

“This is why every one of us feels a special sense of responsibility to the memory of our ancestors for the development and the fate of the Fatherland, which is embodied in concrete deeds and accomplishments, in the desire to make our common home cozy and safe. It is these enduring values that unite us, help us move forward together, and represent a guarantee of the country’s success and prosperity,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

The president wished everyone good health, goodness, and happiness under the peaceful skies of independent Belarus: “Happy holiday! Happy Day of the Republic!”
