Internal infrastructure of Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park operational in 2014

          The works to build the internal infrastructure of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park are to be finished in 2014, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich said at a recent session of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the Belarusian Parliament. “After that the park will be able to accommodate resident companies,” the Vice Premier added. According to Piotr Prokopovich, the park will do more than all the free economic zones taken together. The Vice Premier underlined that Belarusian free economic zones have done well this year in terms of manufacturing output and export. “We need to use the allocated land plots and finish the infrastructure development in these zones,” he said. Piotr Prokopovich added that Belarus might also establish financial free zones. “I mean the creation of an international financial center on the territory of Minsk City. The corresponding instruction was given by the head of state. We are working on the project now and will submit our suggestions later,” the Deputy Premier said. He believes that these suggestions will produce a powerful effect if they are adopted and implemented.
