Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated participants of on the festival’s opening. “Born as a movie forum of the CIS and the Baltic States, over the past decades Listapad has turned into one of the major European cultural forums bringing together the world’s best premieres. It remains committed to its mission – to strengthen accord and understanding between the nations via art, to promote values and humanism. The increasing participation confirms that the aspirations of the forum are appreciated by movie lovers,” the message of felicitation reads.
The head of state noted that this year Listapad will mark its anniversary and present a broad variety of modern movies, and arrange meetings with renowned artists and fledgling movie stars.
