Preparations for Minsk summits discussed in Moscow

         Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Vasily Nebenzia met in Moscow to discuss preparations for the sessions of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on the level of the heads of state and the CIS Council of Heads of State (24-25 October) and the session of the Eurasian Economic Commission (23 October). During the talks the parties focused on integration processes in the CIS space, including the elaboration of the agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union, and a possibility to accept more members to the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space. “The parties shared their views on the implementation of the concept of Belarus’ presidency in the CIS and priorities of Russia’s chairmanship in the CSTO,” the press service informed.
