World-class directors of documentary films will hold master classes and meetings with young hopefuls from Belarus during the 20th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad. A Serbian director, producer, film and television screenwriter Srdjan Sarenac will give a master class “How to find a producer and what to do with him”. His latest work is a documentary film Village Without Women. It premiered at the world’s biggest festival of documentary movies IDFA and took part in another 52 international forums, received 14 awards. During the meeting in Minsk Srdjan Sarenac will tell the audience how to shoot a successful documentary film and how fledgling directors should promote themselves on the international arena. A movie expert, director of one of the biggest festivals of documentary films – Krakow Film Festival - Krzysztof Gierat will give a master class on 7 November. Bulgarian director and scene-designer Youlian Tabakov will unveil secrets of visual components of documentary movies on 8 November.
The 20th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad is scheduled for 1-8 November.
