Belarus urges international community to protect traditional family values

          Belarus has urged the international community to promote traditional families, especially in the contest of the reproductive health issues, Deputy Head of the Global Politics and Humanitarian Cooperation Department of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Irina Velichko said during the discussion of the Third Committee at the 68th session of the UN General Assembly. The Belarusian diplomat warned against pushing for approaches that can deteriorate the demographic situation in the countries experiencing population decline or aging. Irina Velichko emphasized a distinctive role of the youth in the process. She believes that young people should be raised in the spirit of traditional family values, to be responsible for the future of their offspring and contribute to the healthy development of the human civilization.
       The representative of the Belarusian delegation informed the participants of the discussion about Belarus’ priorities in the social and economic policy, employment policy and efforts to raise the living standards of people.
