Once the agreement on Ukraine’s association with the European Union is signed, Ukraine will get additional opportunities and stimuli to advance cooperation with the Customs Union. The opinion was voiced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister remarked that his earlier meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had touched upon a large number of bilateral cooperation matters. Close attention was paid to cooperation with the European Union and, in the future, to cooperation with the Eurasian economic space. “You have to understand that Ukraine’s cooperation will end neither with Belarus nor with the Customs Union when the agreement on association with the European Union is signed. Contrariwise, both of us believe that additional opportunities, additional stimuli for advancing this cooperation will emerge,” stressed the Prime Minister. The sides agreed that in the near future experts will look into problems that may emerge. “But first of all they will concentrate efforts on how to resolve these problems and how this circumstance can be used for the comprehensive advancement of our relations,” noted Nikolai Azarov.
