Vietnam might partake in Euroregion Neman fair in 2014;

    The Vietnamese diplomat visited the trade show and the international investment forum. He said Vietnam is interested in closer ties with Grodno Oblast. He informed that he will invite Vietnamese companies to take part in the forum. Vietnamese products might be exhibited in Grodno as early as 2014, the diplomat said.
         As was said during the forum, Vietnam and Belarus are keen on expanding economic ties. Belarus exports machines and oil products to Vietnam and imports rice, coffee, tea and rubber. Joint projects are underway in both countries. Vietnam is interested in cooperation across a great number of areas, including automobile production, pharmaceutics, power engineering. Grodno Oblast views agriculture as the most promising cooperation avenue. 
       Dinh Duy Truong said he would like to closely study the investment proposals of the region.
The state and prospects of cooperation between Belarus, in particular, Grodno Oblast, and other countries were discussed at the meeting of heads of official delegations and guests of honor at the headquarters of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee on 27 September. Attending the meeting was First Deputy Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, top executives of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, representatives of embassies and consulates of Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam and Slovakia, as well as Belarusian diplomats accredited abroad and foreign businessmen.
