EEC Council to discuss joint projects, common oil, gas markets on 7 October

The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) will convene for an online meeting on 7 October. Taking part in the videoconference will be deputy prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states, BelTA learned from the press service of the EEC.

The participants of the meeting will discuss sources and mechanisms of financing EAEU industrial cooperation projects and will update the list of priority Eurasian technological platforms.

The vice premiers are to review progress to draft an international agreement to establish a common gas market in the EAEU and an agreement (protocol) on the formation of common markets for oil and petroleum products in the EAEU.

The agenda includes the creation of a regional accreditation organization of the EAEU, the CIS countries and other interested states, the optimization of procedures to assess compliance of products with the EAEU technical regulations, the approval of a roadmap for using uniform methods of cryptographic protection of goods identification tools in the EAEU.

The EEC Council will also determine the organizations to be involved in centralized trading of electric energy under fixed-term contracts and under contracts for a day ahead in the EAEU common electric power market.
In addition to that, the participants of the meeting will consider the import and circulation in the EAEU of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment, which is part of the efforts to boost the sustainability of the economies of the member states. Amendments to a number of technical regulations of the union and other issues are also on the agenda.

Belarus is represented in the EEC Council by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko.
