CSTO Collective Security Council to sit in Sochi in September

         A session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization is supposed to take place in the Russian city of Sochi in September. A session of the CSTO Military Committee took place in Moscow. Chiefs of the general staffs of the armed forces of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan discussed the state and development of the military and political situation in the Central Asia collective security region, challenges and threats to the military security in this region, the improvement of the military component of the organization, as well as preparations for the forthcoming session of CSTO charter bodies. Participants of the session paid close attention to the development of the CSTO troops management system, the formation and operation of the command in charge of the collective rapid response forces, and the improvement of the CSTO United Staff performance.
