Wang Xianju: China is committed to further development of Great Stone park

China is committed to further development of the Great Stone Industrial Park, Wang Xianju, Professor at the People's University of China, former counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Belarus, said on the air of the STV TV channel, BelTA has learned.

"China is against sanctions, first. Second, China is not afraid of sanctions. I think that in this situation we will continue cooperation with Belarus in the economic, trade, financial and other areas. We should also continue the construction of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. This park is a symbol of our cooperation. We have already done a lot of work, we have a huge potential to implement all the projects we have mapped. Now we need firms and enterprises from EAEU countries to take an active part in this park as well. I think this is very important," Wang Xianju said.

The professor stressed that cooperation between Belarus and China is growing stronger every year. "Now there are six Confucius Institutes in Belarus. There are more than 10 centers of Belarus studies in China. There are three universities that teach the Belarusian language," he said. “I think that in the current situation of the pandemic, we need to develop contacts and cooperation via the internet. Our mutual understanding is increasing, friendship is very important."
