Belarus has approved a program to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus.

         The plan of events has been discussed and passed at the session of the national organization committee. The organization committee was set up following Resolution No. 121p of the Belarusian Prime Minister as of 27 April 2013. The committee is led by Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik.
The session approved Belarus’ representatives to the Clerical and Public Organization Committee to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus. The events timed to the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus will be held on the territory of three countries – Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The festivities will culminate in official events that will be organized in Moscow, Kyiv and Minsk on 23-30 July 2013. Besides, Minsk will host an international conference titled “1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus. Choice of civilization” in June.
