The Belarus government will implement a set of measures to support export, First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky told media after the government conference held by the head of state to discuss topical matters concerning social and economic development. In late 2014 – early 2015 Belarus encountered serious difficulties with selling merchandise on traditional markets. As a result, the government took a number of measures to stabilize the situation. “Unfortunately, the rates in the economy are still rather high. Nevertheless, we are going to implement a number of measures to reduce these rates, to make loans affordable. At the same time the government has been preparing and implementing a set of measures both systemic in nature to support the economy and pinpoint in nature to help the enterprises of vital importance for the economy. In February we saw certain positive changes with regard to the return of earnings and positioning on our traditional markets,” stated the First Deputy Prime Minister.
