A regular meeting of the Union State Supreme Council should take place before March 2015, Belarus’ Premier Andrei Kobyakov said as he met with State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota.
According to the PM, the preparations will be serious keeping in mind the current situation:

“The two governments work on the program of coordinated actions of in the economic policy, which should be finalized before the meeting. The program is currently undergoing expert finalization. It will provide the governments with the opportunity to find a coordinated answer to emerging issues.”
The parties also considered other issues of cooperation within the Union State and the Customs Union. As was noted, a number of issues related to the bilateral relations between Belarus and Russia were of immediate interest in late 2014. “The integration, however, should first of all mean a timely response to arising problems in addressing the issues of mutual interest. I believe we are moving in the right direction,” Andrei Kobyakov said.
