Nesvizh Palace invites tourists for 19th-century-style Christmas holidays

The Nesvizh Palace invites tourists to participate in its 19th-century-style Christmas celebrations, Deputy Director of the National Historical and Cultural Museum Nesvizh Natalia Zherko told media.

The visitors of the former ducal residence will have an opportunity to immerse into the Christmas atmosphere of the late 19th century. Duke Antoni Wilhelm Radziwill and his wife Marie Dorothea de Castellane Radziwill, the founder of the Nesvizh parks, will be greeting the tourists. The program of the celebrations features music events and theatrical performances.

The Christmas celebrations will last from 2 to 8 January. Natalia Zherko noted that the palace expects to receive some 10,000-12,000 tourists during this period.

Next year the museum will celebrate the 175th anniversary of Marie Dorothea de Castellane Radziwill. The Nesvizh Palace will also traditionally participate in the Night of Museums and hold 14 exhibitions.

The former residence of the Radziwill family in Nesvizh is a famous Belarusian site included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. From the beginning of 2014 it has received more than 400,000 tourists.
