The Belarusian Red Cross is going to open a hotline for people who arrived in Belarus from Ukraine, secretary general of the Belarusian Red Cross Society (BRCS) Viktor Kolbanov told BelTA.
The hotline was allocated the short number 201 and will be launched next week. It will be on from 19.00 to 21.00 on weekdays. Seven volunteers have been trained already. Their number will be increased in the future.
According to Viktor Kolbanov, the hotline is meant for residents of the Ukrainian “hotspots” who intend to come to Belarus and also for those who have already arrived in Belarus from Ukraine. They will be able to get advice on the issues regarding accommodation, employment, other support measures, etc. This hotline can be used by the citizens of Belarus who want to assist to the internally displaced people in cash, clothing and basic necessities.
Viktor Kolbanov believes that the hotline will be useful. The Belarusian Red Cross Society, both the headquarters and regional offices, have been receiving a lot of emails and calls.
