The State Customs Committee of Belarus and the Federal Customs Service of Russia have worked out the procedures that will be used for the customs administration of the commodities, whose shipment to the Russian Federation is forbidden, during their transportation across the Belarusian section of the Customs Union border, the press service of Belarus’ Customs reports. The efforts will rule out the transit of forbidden products to the Russian Federation via the Republic of Belarus. These arrangements are compliant with international obligations of Belarus and do not hinder the legal transportation of merchandise across the Belarusian border from the European Union and Ukraine.
According to the press service of the State Customs Committee of Belarus, as part of the administration of transit flows to Russia the Belarusian customs service fulfils individual requests from Russia’s Customs, including with regard to the products, whose export to the Russian Federation is forbidden.
