Irena Kotvitskaya to represent Belarus at international music festival in Moscow


        Irena Kotvitskaya will represent Belarus at the international music festival “We Gather Friends” that takes place in Moscow, BelTA learnt from the artist.
The festival will present the most interesting music projects from around the world. It will bring together musicians from the United Kingdom, Israel, Iran, Armenia, China, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, the United States, Turkey, Japan and Russia. The forum is organized by the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the center World Music Cultures.
       “I have been cooperating with the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory for a long time already. I have taken part in their concerts, conferences, master classes and radio programs. It is a great opportunity for me to present both traditional culture and modern trends in Belarusian music,” the singer said.
Irena Kotvitskaya is a singer, composer and teacher. She was born and educated in Minsk. She completed a postgraduate course in ethnic music at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 2013 she released her solo album Ethno-Fantasy. The album was hailed by a well-known Russian music portal as the most interesting album of the year.
