Belarusbank among world’s top 400 banks

         The Belarusian ASB Belarusbank is among the world’s top 400 banks for the first time, BelTA quotes Belarusbank’s representatives. The popular international banking industry and financial markets periodical The Banker has published the annual ranking of the world’s 1,000 largest banks. Belarusbank has improved its standing by moving from the 412th position to the 399th. It is still the only Belarusian bank in the upper half of the ranking table. Apart from that, Belarusbank ranks 14th in Central and Eastern Europe’s 25 largest banks in terms of tier one capital. The review for the year 2013 recognized Belarusbank as the country’s largest bank in terms of tier one capital (including the paid-up capital, reserves and other assets of the bank, undistributed profit of past years and the reporting year).
      To date Belarusbank is the leader among Belarusian banks in terms of capital and authorized fund, total assets, the number of outlets, the volume of loans given to clients, bulk payment and international business.
