A commemorative sword designed for the city of Minsk as one of the hero cities from the Victory Sword series of gift weapons has been handed over to the Belarusian State Museum of Great Patriotic War History for safekeeping. The ceremony to hand over the sword took place as the new premises of the museum were opened in presence of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
The sword has been made by the famous Russian Zlatoust-based weapon company. The form and the essence of the weapon symbolize the unbreakable spirit, unity, and heroism of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War.
