An action to restore order and beautify territories will take place in Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan on 5 June, BelTA learned from Olga Lelyukova, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ministry.
Titled as Union State Cleanup, the action has been initiated by the Ministry. The decision to stage the action was made at a meeting of the environmental protection ministers of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan. The format of the action was determined back then as well.
5 June is a special date because World Environment Day is marked on this day, explained Olga Lelyukova.
According to the official, the state of environment recognizes no borders, ecological problems are topical for all countries across the globe. “By planning this action we would like to once again underline that as members of various integration associations — the Customs Union, the Union State of Belarus and Russia — we are ready to resolve all problems together, including ecological ones,” stressed the Press Secretary.
