Belarus’ National Pavilion has opened at the 67th International Film Festival in Cannes, one of the oldest and most prestigious events in the world of cinema, we learned from Director General of the National Film Studio Belarusfilm Oleg Silvanovich.
This is the fourth time Belarus has arranged its cinematic "embassy" at the forum. This year the organizers are the Culture Ministry of Belarus, Belarusfilm Film Studio and film company Nonstop MEDIA.
The main purpose of the pavilion is to search for partners, present the services and capabilities of the national cinema. Belarusfilm delegation includes Deputy General Director Dmitry Sheleg, the head of the script and marketing service "Kinoprojekt” Anatoly Korolev, advertising and festival affairs manager Eliza Potapenko.
The National Film Studio has prepared the presentation of more than 20 films.
Belarus Pavilion will stay open in Cannes until 25 May.
