Belarus, Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region of China willing to cooperate in agriculture


      Belarus and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China are willing to cooperate in agriculture and the manufacture of farm machines. These issues were high on the agenda of a meeting between the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Mikhail Myatlikov and representatives of the Organizing Committee of the China-Eurasia Expo, the BCCI reports. The parties discussed the main issues of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region of China. The most promising area of cooperation, according to the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the China-Eurasia Expo, Vice President of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Xu Weihua, is cooperation in agriculture and manufacturing of agricultural equipment, construction and production of building materials, food processing and textile sectors. Xu Weihua said that the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is home to special economic zones, foreign residents of which are provided additional benefits to perform business activities. Mikhail Myatlikov, in turn, stressed that similar conditions have been created in the Chinese -Belarusian Industrial Park, and invited the companies of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to become its residents.
