The first Eurasian Economic Forum to be held in Bishkek on 26 May will be a brainstorming session, the results of which will be in demand for further work on Eurasian integration, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich said in an interview on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
On 27 May, the Eurasian Economic Union leaders are set to hold a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
“The agenda is varied and includes not only issues of economic development. Some of the issues are related to humanitarian problems, the labor market and many other interesting things. I have confidence that the general trend will be aimed at how the Eurasian Economic Union is seen in the future,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.
In his words, the strategic areas of Eurasian economic integration until 2025 outline the main horizons. “Naturally, the question arises what next? Both scientists and experts, I think, will come up with very interesting ideas and suggestions about how we see our union after 2025. There may be more to come before 2025. We are not limiting ourselves to that. This will be a so-called brainstorming session, which, I believe, will be very useful to the Eurasian Economic Commission,” the chairman of the EEC Board said.
As BelTA reported earlier, the Belarusian delegation to the Eurasian Economic Forum in Bishkek will include 35 people. The Belarusian delegation will comprise energy, transport and communications, anti-monopoly regulation and trade ministers, representatives of the State Customs Committee, the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, and also the heads of Belarusian State University and Belarusian State Economic University. The leadership of the Eurasian Economic Union member states will take part in the forum in the online format. The event will also be attended by deputy prime ministers, members of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and members of the EEC Board.
Business leaders, including large businesses, from the EAEU countries have been invited to the forum. Representatives of Latin America and South-East Asia will also participate. More than 2,500 people have confirmed their participation in the forum.
The forum was transformed from the Eurasian Week, an international forum previously held by the EEC. The Eurasian Economic Forum was founded in 2019 in accordance with the decision of the heads of states. In 2020-2021 it was not held due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The forum includes more than three dozen events. The panel sessions will discuss the prospects for strategic development of Eurasian integration in the era of global changes, issues of financial development and macroeconomic stability, intensification of activities in the energy and transport sectors, digitalization, as well as the situation in the industry of the EAEU countries. The program of the forum will also feature 21 thematic sections.
Up to ten documents in various areas of cooperation are planned to be signed at the end of the forum. They will include a memorandum on cooperation in tourism development. A separate agreement will be signed following the meeting of the rectors of the EAEU universities. It will be devoted to the development of an inter-university consortium.

das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
