Belarus' export of construction services is projected to reach $750 million in 2022, Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“$750 million in the export of construction services is our target for the next year. This is quite a serious growth as against the previous year – up 25%, and we are determined to achieve it,” said Ruslan Parkhamovich.
According to him, the Russian Federation accounts for about 80% of Belarus’ total export of construction services. “These are mainly the regions close to us - Kaluga, Bryansk, Pskov, Leningrad Oblast, Moscow Oblast and Voronezh Oblast. We continue to increase the pace of housing construction and also the construction of social facilities (kindergartens, schools, medical facilities, reconstruction of stadiums). Industrial construction remains the premium niche for us, because it has the maximum added value,” the minister explained.
Ruslan Parkhamovich stressed that housing construction in satellite towns would continue.
As for the long-term construction projects, the minister said that about 1,500 of such facilities are currently used, but had not been put into operation in the prescribed manner. “First of all, these are the facilities of engineering and transport infrastructure - roads, utility networks, so it is simply impossible to stop or prohibit their use. Given the lack of executive, design documentation, it is impossible to put them into operation in the prescribed manner. The ministry has made a proposal to simplify the commissioning of such facilities, provided their reliability and safety in the future operation. In the near future the ministry will start working on it the project. I hope the document will be adopted in 2022,” said Ruslan Parkhamovich.
The minister also spoke about the investment in the Belarusian housing and construction market. “Investments in housing construction in Belarus are primarily of interest to individuals. Citizens of neighboring countries see a calm, neat, comfortable country to live in. They buy housing mainly in the capital city and regional centers,” he added.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
