The leaders of the CIS member states will meet in Minsk face-to-face. No country has objected to this format, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee - CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev told the media in Minsk on 24 August, BelTA has learned. “The CIS permanent plenipotentiary representatives are gathering in Minsk today for their traditional meeting. As always, the items on the agenda are important. They will continue discussing the agendas of the upcoming meetings of the CIS Ministerial Council and the CIS Heads of State Council, which are scheduled in Minsk for 14-15 October," Sergei Lebedev said. “The approval process is on the home stretch. We hope that today we will finalize the agendas of the two meetings. Among the items on the agenda is the statement on the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The text is now being honed and coordinated at the level of various government agencies of the CIS countries. It will be signed by the heads of state on 15 October." According to him, the heads of state will give the Moldovan city of Comrat the status of the CIS Capital of Culture 2023. "At the moment, everyone has supported this decision," Sergei Lebedev noted. A number of items on the agendas of the CIS Ministerial Council and the CIS Heads of State Council will deal with various aspects of cultural cooperation, political and humanitarian interaction. The ministers of foreign affairs will discuss the issues that will be submitted to the ministerial consultations next year,” Sergei Lebedev said. “Traditionally, the meetings will have a free exchange of views on topical issues of cooperation in the CIS. There is always a frank and meaningful conversation on topical aspects of our cooperation. The purpose of this discussion is to increase the effectiveness of the activities of the Commonwealth of Independent States, strengthen the internal and external security of our countries, and create favorable conditions for economic development. After these summits, we have a lot of work to do." In addition, the CIS representatives will discuss the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council, which will be held under the chairmanship of Belarus in Bishkek on 12 November.The permanent plenipotentiary representatives will hear out a report on the performance of the CIS Council of Heads of State and Public Television and Radio Organizations. They will also name the head of the CIS observation mission for the presidential election in Uzbekistan due on 24 October.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
