The 20th edition of the international theater festival Belaya Vezha (White Tower) will bring together winners of the previous forums, director of the festival, Artistic Director of the Brest Academic Drama Theater Alexander Kozak told reporters.
Grand Prix holders, the best puppet theaters, street theaters, actors and directors and their productions will be presented at the Belaya Vezha 2015 festival. The director of the festival promised new names as well. There will be no jury at the anniversary festival.
According to him, it is possible that the festival might last for more than the traditional seven days next year. In his words, the work on the anniversary edition of the forum is already underway.
Commenting on the Belaya Vezha 2014 festival, Alexander Kozak noted that “it reached the kind of culmination we wanted”. The major achievement of Belaya Vezha 2014 was the participation of the world famous theater groups, like Meno Fortas from Vilnius.
Taking part in 19th edition the festival were 24 theater companies from 13 countries, including Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Georgia, Slovakia and Kazakhstan. Three interpretations of William Shakespeare’s plays were showed at the festival. In fact, the theater community celebrates the 450th anniversary of the famous playwright this year. All in all, 28 productions were staged.

Höre gerade den tollen Song 10:45 min ( Hörerbriefkasten) Was ist das für ein traditionelles Instrument im Soloteil, klingt etwas wie ein Dudelsack, aber der ist ja in Schottland:-)

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
