Members of the Commission for International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic and members of the Commission for International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus believe that the European Parliament’s resolution on Ukraine is counterproductive.
The Belarusian MPs voiced their position in a joint statement. The MPs are convinced that the statements and actions of individual foreign politicians and organizations that blatantly intervene with Ukraine’s domestic affairs are unacceptable and counterproductive. The Belarusian MPs are concerned about the situation in the friendly country. “We are worried about the alarming destabilization of the situation in the country and we are sorry about the victims of the clashes. We are in favor of resolving the political crisis in Ukraine by means of a constructive and civilized dialogue and utmost respect for the supremacy of law, avoiding interference in the domestic matters of a sovereign state,” the statement reads.
